October is such a fun Month!

I love the month of October! Luke has a birthday and Halloween is one of the most fun holidays of the year! We started the month off with Lilly & Rosemary not taking a nap so after dinner they fell asleep watching a cartoon. So cute!
We stopped on the way home from work/daycare and got a couple of pumpkins for daycare and bear bear & dolly needed their picture taken on the pumpkins.

Luke's class went to Razz Tazz farm, we were all so excited.

First, they taught us about all the ways you could use corn and about their farm.

Then we went through a corn maze, played in corn silos, went on a hay ride, and ran around the farm. Luke's class

They all searched for the perfect pumpkin.

Luke found one.
We all had the best day!
Luke decided he wanted a costume birthday party so we waited until the end of the month for his 5th birthday party. First Shane and all the boys played a little football.
Then we ate. The girls sat together.
Lilly (aka princess) was having fun. Finally it was time for cake.

Molly was patient. Uncle Mark and Rosemary.
Luke got a lot of great presents!
Halloween was the next day. Luke decided he wanted to be something new so he dressed up as a bat. Jonah wore his football uniform and Lilly & Rosemary were princess'.
First we went to Grandma Teena & PawPaw Jim's house.
Then out trick-or-treating.

We all walked until we gave out, except for Jonah. When I told him I would give him the girls candy he said it was fine to go home.

What a fun month October is!

Football Season Begins

Last school year Jonah really got into playing football. They played during recess and he had a great time. A friends of ours mentioned this past summer that they were starting a team and Jonah said he wanted to play. He has been practing the past 4 weeks and this past weekend was the First Game. On Friday night they met and had a pep rally.
The two Tackle One teams, Tackle Two, Cheerleaders and families came for pizza, cheers, chants, and pep talks.
We all had so much fun!

Most families decorated their cars for the big game.

Saturday at noon we all headed out to the game. They had to be there an hour ahead of time.
I packed a lunch for us to eat while waiting for the game to start.
Then finally they took the field.
It was so exciting. At first it was a nice over cast day but then the rain began.

What was supposed to be a hour and a half game lasted two and a half hours. They went into triple overtime and lost buy one touch down.

What a great start to the season!
Luke, Lilly and Rosemary were exhausted, and fell asleep on the way home.

I can't wait for next Saturday!

Happy 11th Birthday, Jonah!

My oldest baby turned 11 on the 22nd of August. He doesn't like cake especially icing and wanted a big cookie for his birthday. Since he is playing football for the first time I decided to put a football on the cookie.
The girls put on their sunglasses for the birthday song.
Jonah is at the age where he had to act like whatever but I could tell he loved the attention.

Then after the birthday song he made a wish and blew out the candles...

Everyone ate cupcakes, cookie, veggies, and fruit.

Then came time to open presents and Luke thought Jonah needed a spotlight.

Jonah let everyone help him open his presents.
Happy Jonah

Family

One of Jonah's presents was tops called Bayblade and everyone was mesmerized by it.

Jonah got a new DS game and as usual Luke sat and watched Jonah play.

Meanwhile the girls decide to finish off the veggies.

I can't believe it has been 11 years since I had Jonah! I remember it like it was yesterday. It was one of the best days of my life when he came into this world. I truly believe the lord brought him into our life at the right time. He has changed our life for the better and brought so much joy into our life!

Luke's Trip to a Farm

Luke went to a speech camp the beginning of August and on the last day they went to one of the owner's farm. Luke immediately took to the horses. I was surprised that he wasn't scared at all.
When Ms. Cindy asked who wanted to ride first, Luke's hand went up so quickly none of the others had a chance to respond.

Luke was grinning from ear to ear.

After they rode horses it was time to get some treats for them.

Luke and Addison worked hard gathering apples.

Then they helped each other carry the apples back to the stables.

Luke even had a treat.

Addison & Luke ran back to get more.

Luke also learned how to clean up after the horses.
The horses would bite half the apple off, eat it, then finish the second half.
Luke would clean the apple off with his spit and shirt before giving it to the horse. Then sometimes he would clean the apple, take a bite, then give the apple to the horse.

After apple time they all had ice cream.

Then they played in the water.

What a great way to end a summer camp.
