Luke's Strawberries

Today we went to pick Strawberries with Luke's class from his Preschool. It was cool but beautiful day. Luke wanted to pick and eat his strawberries rather than pick them to bring home.

The Best Mother's Day!!!

On Mother's Day we all took it easy. We stayed at home all day and played outside most of the day. Luke helped me plant some flowers near our small garden. Shane decided to put our dog lot around the garden since it was small so the deer and rabbits would not eat everything.

After he got tired of planting flowers he decided to plant Luke.

Rosemary decided to try the shovel and hoe at the same time.

Then she checked out the flowers.

Lilly came over and checked out the flowers also.

After we finished with the flowers Luke and Jonah thought it was a good time to ride bikes.

Dad helped Luke out as Rosemary watched.

I love spending the day at home with Shane & the kids. That's what made my Mother's Day so perfect!

Ethan's Birthday Party

My nephew Ethan turns 7 this week and Saturday he had his birthday party. It was a Star Wars theme and I don't think any of the kids (big or small) could have had a better time! We all watched as he opened his presents.

Jonah and Colin waiting their turn at the pinata.

Everyone watched as Ethan took a swing.....

and then made a dash for the candy.

One of his presents from his Uncle was a Slip and Slide. The boys had to try it out. What fun they had!!!
Grandpa Jim, Luke, Grandpa Ian, and Adelyn looked on as Colin and Ethan zoomed down the slip and slide.

Jonah made a big splash.

All the boys crashed and loved it.

Rosemary and Lilly watched but would not get close.

The three princess' Rosemary, Lilly, and Adelyn.

The day came to an end and we all piled into Grandma's van to go home. Everyone was tired but very happy because of the good time we spent with family!!!

What a day

At 6:30 this morning Rosemary and myself head out the door to the Surgical Center for Dr. Rosen to put tubes in her ears. She has had a lot of ear infections since December. She was such a good girl- sitting in my lap, being quiet. They had her change into these scrub like looking clothes before they put the tubes in. She looked so cute!

After they finished they dressed her for me & brought her to me in a waiting area. It took a while for her to stop crying, I'm pretty sure it was the anesthesia messing her up. Jonah had the same reaction when he was three and had a pin removed from his broke elbow. I finally took her outside & we sat in the car and I sang to her until she fell asleep.

That afternoon we played outside and you would have never known what a morning we had. Lilly went on to daycare that morning and the girls seemed happy to see each other that afternoon.

Sports Day at Daycare

This week at daycare everyday has a different theme. Monday was bubble day (we brought bubbles) Tuesday was sports day so the girl's were supposed to wear their favorite sport clothes. At the end of football season I found a Carolina Panther cheerleaders outfit so that was perfect so I put Rosemary in it. Then a friend of mine had given me some clothes her daughter had outgrown and I put Lilly in the dress that looks like a Tennis outfit. I thought they looked so cute! Today was PJ day. Thursday is hat day. They seem to have alot of fun at daycare. They wave good bye when we drop them off in the morning. I peep in the window after I close the door and they are busy playing and don't even see me, so I know they must like their daycare.

Happy Easter

Lilly
Rosemary & Daddy

Before dinner we had an Easter egg hunt. Lilly and Rosemary had alot of fun putting eggs into and out of their baskets. Jonah and Luke just wanted to play. Grandpa and Grandma Humphrey, Grandpa and Grandma Messer, and Uncle Mark and Aunt Amy came over. I cooked my first ham this year and it was delicious! Everyone brought something to eat and everything was yummy!

Jonah and Luke colored eggs after they dryed we made the table center piece with their beautiful eggs.

Rosemary(in red)and Lilly were surprised by the Easter Bunny. He brought them new sandles for the summer, socks, and eggs. Luke and Jonah woke up early and found their baskets. This is the first year the boys woke up before me. I know Jonah woke up at 5:30am and I think he went and woke Luke up but I don't know for sure. I don't think Easter could have been any better. Our family is so blessed!

Luke's Easter Party

Luke had such a great time Friday at his Preschool's Easter Party. All the children met at Mrs. Alisha's house for the party. Mrs. Alisha is the teacher in Luke's 3 year old class. It was a beautiful morning and everyone had the best time!

Hunting for eggs.

After they found all the eggs everyone gathered together to check them all out.

Luke and his friends ate a yummy lunch together out on the patio.

Mrs. Alisha and Mrs. Kelly gave Luke some cool sunglasses. He had to wear them while he ate his bunny cake. After he ate cake Luke was so tired from all the fun that he asked if we could go home, he needed a nap.

Take me out to the ball park...

Tonight was the first game of the season. Jonah is playing in the mustang league. This is the first year that the kids are pitching. Jonah prefers to play out field, short stop or second base. His team is the Red Sox. It was a chilly night but we all went out for the first game. Luke, Lilly, Rosemary, Grandma and Grandpa Humphrey. They played the Braves. It was a close game 4 Braves - 3 Red Sox. Baseball season is a lot of fun for everyone.

Jonah played left field and short stop.

Luke was nice and shared his slushy with Lilly. He had such a good time playing with other kids. There was a big mud puddle that was calling his name and finally he could not take it and ran through it a couple of times.

Rosemary enjoyed walking back and forth on the bleachers.

After the game everyone goes to the concession stand. Tuesday night I worked the concession stand. My mom asked Jonah if he knew where I was going he said yes, mom's working the confession stand. We got a big kick out of that.
