This and That in February

February went by quick! We started off watching Super Bowl Sunday in a tent. The kids brought all their pillows and stuffed animals and relaxed in a tent in front of the TV to watch the big game. Luke and the girls went to bed normal time but this year we let Jonah stay up to watch the whole game.
Valentine's came and went quickly. All the kids got valentines from friends and family.

One day after school Jonah had a friend, Ben over to play. I had taken the day off since Luke and the girl's had a teacher's work day at their schools.

It was a chilly windy day so the boys decided to try and fly the dragon kite.

They decided to take it up on top of the fort...

and let it go...

Ben did most of the running

the girl's watched in amazement

as the boys ran around the yard with the Dragon kite.

We all had a lot of fun. If you don't have a kite I highly recommend getting one. We have had a lot of fun times with ours!

Lilly & Rosemary's 2nd Birthday

We started Lilly & Rosemary's 2nd Birthday on Friday at Daycare. They brought a birthday snack for the class.
Their teachers took pictures through out the day. What a fun day!

On Saturday, January 30th we woke up to SNOW. 8 inches of snow. Jonah, Luke, and Lilly couldn't wait to get outside. Lilly went ahead and put on her hat.

After breakfast, it was time to open a present. Grandma Jackie sent them a card and present.

After reading the cards, it was time to see what was in the big bag....

Pink rain boots. Yeah, they could also wear them in the snow.

We all got dressed and out we went. The girls didn't want to walk so we put them in the stroller.

Luke decided he would wear his fireman's hat. Isn't his eyes beautiful!

Jonah played in the snow for a long time then it was time to rest.
That evening we got ready for a birthday dinner.

Shane and Rosemary read a book.

Lilly was excited because after dinner we had 'Happy Cakes'. That is what the girls call birthday cakes or cupcakes.

After happy cakes they opened a gift from Grandma & Grandpa Humphrey, a tea set. Luke liked playing with it also.

While the girl's played the boys decided it was time to play the wii before bed.

The birthday party didn't turn out like I had planned because we got snowed in but I think the girl's had a big day after all.
